Pledging Process Overview
Joining APO is easy — our pledge process is designed to help you get to know our organization, meet new people, and become part of the Texas APO family.
1. Learn About APO
Come check us out at our info sessions and recruitment events! You’ll learn more about who we are, the kinds of service we do, and what being a member of APO is all about.
We encourage prospective members to join our social media pages to stay updated on events and announcements.
2. Attend Installation
Installation is the official start of your pledge semester and your first step toward becoming a member of Alpha Phi Omega.

3. Complete Pledgeship
Throughout the semester, pledges will have the opportunity to:
- Learn more about APO’s values and traditions
- Participate in a wide variety of service projects
- Develop leadership skills
- Attend fellowship and social events
- Build lasting friendships with fellow members
- and, run the world’s largest Texas Flag!
Alpha Phi Omega is proud to be a zero-hazing organization. Our pledge process is focused on inclusion, personal growth, and community. Anyone who completes the pledge requirements will be welcomed as a member.
4. Become an Active Member!
At the end of the semester, after completing the pledge process, you will be eligible to join Alpha Phi Omega as an active member.

Installation Ceremony
Texas APO is an open organization, and anyone is welcome to join. There are no complicated applications or interviews — all you need to do to begin your journey is attend Install. Even if you weren’t able to make it to any info sessions or any of our other events, we still welcome you to show up and join the Texas APO family!
